事件循环是 Node.js 能够执行非阻塞 I/O 操作的关键机制——尽管 JavaScript 是单线程语言。
The formats tech books come in
Who it’s for
Faster for translators, cheaper for publishers
One terminology base and one editor, used two ways: translators produce the draft, publishers get the sample chapter.
Freelance translators & studios
Spend your time on the translation, not on typing.
A first draft in minutes
Whole chapters come back translated — you polish and sign off instead of starting from a blank page.
Terminology decided once
Glossaries and do-not-translate lists keep every occurrence consistent, from chapter 1 to the index.
Your voice, your call
Edit any paragraph side by side. The AI produces a draft; the style stays yours.
Deliverable on export
Export Markdown, EPUB, or DOCX in the original structure and hand it to the editor as is.
Editorial & rights teams
See a readable draft before you commit headcount.
A sample chapter the same day
Evaluate real chapters — and the translators working on them — before the project is greenlit.
First drafts generated
Translators review and polish rather than start cold, which shortens schedules and controls cost.
One house terminology
Share glossaries and name lists across titles so a whole series reads consistently.
Review and compliance
Track review progress chapter by chapter. Manuscripts are never used for training, and rights-holder workflows are supported.
Features
Built for the way tech books are written
Long chapters, dense terminology, and code on every page — TranslationWorks is tuned for exactly that.
Chapter-level context
The model reads entire chapters — not isolated paragraphs — so terminology, tone, and voice stay consistent from preface to appendix.
Glossaries & terminology
Define how every technical term is translated — or keep it in English. “Event loop” always becomes 事件循环; npm install never changes.
Code stays code
Code blocks, command lines, and inline code are detected and passed through untouched. Only the prose around them is translated.
Structure preserved
Chapters, headings, tables, footnotes, and figure captions stay exactly where they belong — the export mirrors your original.
A simple, focused editor
Review the English source and Chinese translation side-by-side, edit any paragraph, and track your progress chapter by chapter.
Translation memory
Approved paragraphs are remembered and reused across the book — a consistent voice, and revisions only re-translate what changed.
How it works
From manuscript to Chinese edition in three steps
Set up your glossary once — then translation runs chapter by chapter while you stay in control.
Upload your manuscript
Drop in a Markdown, EPUB, DOCX, or PDF export of your book. Chapters, headings, and code blocks are detected automatically.
AI translates by your rules
Glossaries, do-not-translate lists, and translation memory are applied — code is skipped, and terminology stays consistent across every chapter.
Review, then export
Polish any paragraph in the side-by-side editor, then export the complete Chinese edition in your original format.

What kind of books does TranslationWorks support?
English technical books translated into Simplified Chinese — programming guides, references, cookbooks, and engineering deep-dives, O’Reilly style. That focus is deliberate: tech books have code, terminology, and structure that general translation tools tend to mangle.
How is this different from pasting a book into a general translation tool?
General tools translate paragraph by paragraph and lose the thread across 300 pages. TranslationWorks works chapter by chapter with your glossaries and translation memory, keeps code untouched, preserves structure, and includes an editor built for reviewing a full book — not a chat box.
Is my code translated?
No. Code blocks, command lines, and inline code are detected and passed through untouched — npm install stays npm install. Only the prose around the code is translated.
Can I keep certain terms in English?
Yes. Add terms to a do-not-translate list, or define exact translations in a glossary — for example, always render “event loop” as 事件循环 while keeping state and reducer in English. Import existing glossaries from CSV or TMX.
How would a publisher use this for a sample chapter?
Upload one or two real chapters and get a readable Chinese draft the same day — to evaluate a title, a translation, or a translator before committing. If you go ahead, translate the full book against the same glossary while translators focus on polish. Multiple titles can run in parallel with per-chapter progress.
What about copyright?
Translating a book requires rights. Upload only content you own or are licensed to translate — we support workflows between authors, translators, and publishers who hold those rights. Your manuscript is never used to train models and is never shared.
What can I do in the editor?
Read the English source and Chinese translation side-by-side, edit any paragraph, jump chapter by chapter, and track review progress. When everything reads right, export the whole book in your original format.
